D.E.Psi prides itself on aiding individuals reach their potential in the process of serving the needs of our community. As members, Brothers recognize and understand the power of unity amongst South Asians. Founding Class, Zeta Chapter
Delta Epsilon Psi means more to us than simply being another organization or "club." Our fraternity is a family. Together we are driven to instill the virtues of brotherhood, discipline, and commitment within our members through various service and social activities. We were founded on the idea that together we can achieve greater success than when standing alone. Our goals are structured both for the growth of the fraternity, and the individual. We aim to provide a basic support network for members to succeed academically, to unite members with the community, to transcend religious and regional barriers within our community, and to create an awareness of South Asian needs and problems to the community. For individual members we hope to contribute to the betterment of their character and person. Our goal is for our members to develop self-confidence, leadership qualities, social skills, and a belief in the potential and strengths of their abilities. With the development of each brother being our top priority, the evolution of Delta Epsilon Psi has inspired many different thoughts, opinions, and ideas on the power of a unified body of South Asian man. We look to continue and strengthen these views with the addition of young men from various backgrounds, but with an identical vision. Delta Epsilon Psi was not created to separate a group from the whole, but rather to instill the ideas of a whole into a body of unified men.
One of the best qualities of Delta Epsilon Psi is the diversity of our members. We have successfully molded together the different nationalities, cultures, and religions into an active group of influential students. Our eclectic collection of individuals and personalities gives Delta Epsilon Psi a very unique perspective on the various issues and problems facing our society. As the Zeta Chapter of Delta Epsilon Psi at Baylor University we seek to raise South Asian awareness throughout the Baylor campus and the larger Waco community. At Zeta Chapter we host many different activities to benefit our philanthropy, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) as well as to raise South Asian awareness. From Sugar Free Bowl, our charity football tournament, to Who's Got Game, our charity basketball tournament, to Dodging Diabetes, our charity dodge ball tournament, we at Zeta Chapter strive to reach our goal of supporting our philanthropy, while at the same time strengthening our brotherhood through various social and service driven endeavors. Our Mission Statement was founded to encompass the values that all our brothers hold:
Zeta Chapter has won numerous awards from Baylor University throughout the years, including the Abner McCall Service Award for doing hundreds of hours of community service and the Chapter Academic Excellence Award for having the highest combined GPA of any fraternity and sorority in the Multicultural Greek Council. Numerous brothers from Zeta Chapter have gone to top level medical schools and dental schools, including Baylor College of Medicine and Drexel Medical School and many more have been very successful in the business world and at other endeavors. Through all these achievements and accolades, Delta Epsilon Psi is considered one of the most prestigious and accomplished fraternities on Baylor University's campus. "We don’t turn boys into men, we turn men into leaders."
